How it works

It’s never a battle of opinions.

Every project starts with your idea, your story and your vision. My job is to bring the experience that turns it into the strongest possible design. It is teamwork.

Bring me the idea

Not a photo to trace. Tell me the story behind it, where you want it and what it means, and I will bring the composition, the contrast and the technical side.

Keep an open mind

If I suggest resizing something, moving it or approaching it differently, it never comes from ego. Eight years teaches you what works on the body, what ages well and what still looks right in ten years.

We sit and work

Sessions usually run six to eight hours depending on the piece and how we are both travelling. I never rush a tattoo to fit a schedule. Quality comes before quantity, every time.

Julio Falcón.

Venezuelan, originally from Maracay, eight years tattooing and now based on the Gold Coast.

Art was there long before the machine was. Years of drawing, painting and studying composition came first, so tattooing was never a career change. It was where all of that was always heading.

I specialise in black and grey realism, but I have never believed creativity should be confined to a single category. Full colour, anime, mandalas, ornamental work, portraits, illustrative pieces. Some of my favourite projects come from blending styles, playing with contrast and building something you could not put one label on. I like mixing realism with graphic elements, abstract texture, geometry and a bit of Trash Polka.

Leaving Venezuela and building a career in Australia taught me resilience, discipline and gratitude. Every client who trusts me becomes part of that, and every tattoo is another chapter in a story that started with nothing more than a pencil.

Too easy my bro, got it. I would just suggest to do it a bit bigger than the initial size you told me, if you want the details from the shirts to be readable. Otherwise we can keep the size and I don’t go as detailed, so the tattoo ages nicely.
